1. Who is responsible?
METALLDEL.NO AS, organisation number 936794483, is the data controller. Our address is Damsgårdsveien 229, 5160 Laksevåg, Norway. Contact post@metalldel.no about privacy, your rights or a possible privacy incident.
We do not have a designated data protection officer. Privacy requests are handled by Metalldel.no.
2. Information you provide
When you register, we process your name, email address, phone number and login information. You may also provide a business name and organisation number. If you sign in with Vipps, we receive the information shared through that login service.
For quotations and orders, we process contact and delivery details, selected materials and services, quantities, order history, payment references and invoice information. Enquiries may contain your contact details and information about your project.
Uploads may include DXF, STEP and other project files, filenames, metadata and derived files for viewing and production preparation. Files may contain personal data or confidential project content.
3. Why we process information
We process necessary account, file, quotation, payment and delivery information to perform our contract with you or take steps you request before ordering. Without the necessary information, we cannot provide the relevant function or complete the order.
Accounting and invoice information is processed to meet legal obligations. Security, troubleshooting, preventing misuse and handling legal claims may rely on our legitimate interest in a secure service and responsible operations. We limit processing to what the purpose requires.
Optional website analytics and browser diagnostics rely on your separate consent. Accepting the terms or acknowledging that you have read this policy does not give consent to these optional purposes.
4. Files and AI features
Files are stored and processed for the functions you use, including viewing, geometry processing, quotations and production preparation. Access is controlled through account and access rules.
When you use AI design or AI support, the text and reference content you submit may be processed by OpenAI. Do not include sensitive personal data or material you are not entitled to share. Check the result before using it for an order.
5. Services that process information
We use Google Cloud for hosting and storage, Vipps for login and payments, Fiken for invoicing and Bring for delivery. The information processed depends on the function and order. Vipps payments are made directly to Metalldel.no AS.
OpenAI processes content submitted through AI features. In the browser, Google Analytics and Sentry are used only for the optional purposes you allow. Payment, accounting and delivery services may also have their own legal obligations and privacy terms.
Manufacturing suppliers do not have access to customer information. Processing by technical service providers is separate from that access.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some service providers may process information outside the EEA. We have reviewed the relevant agreements and required transfer safeguards. Contact post@metalldel.no for information about the safeguards applicable to the processing and how to obtain a copy.
7. Cookies and browser storage
Necessary storage supports login, security, language preferences and your work in the ordering system. The browser may also store drafts, material choices and information used to resume an upload.
If you allow website analytics, Google Analytics uses information about visits to public pages. If you allow browser diagnostics, Sentry receives error and performance reports. Session replay is disabled. You can reject both purposes or choose them independently.
You can change your choice at any time through Privacy settings on this privacy page. Withdrawal stops further optional collection in the browser but does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Your browser choice is stored for 180 days. After this, or when the available choices materially change, we ask you to choose again.
8. How long information is kept
The ordinary retention period for inactive accounts is one year from last activity. Enquiries and unused quotations are kept for one year from the last relevant interaction. Files that do not become part of an order are kept for one year from upload. Drawings linked to completed orders are kept for one year from order completion. Acceptance history is kept for one year after account closure.
Records required by law and information needed for a specific legal claim may need to be kept longer than other account information. Contact post@metalldel.no to request access to or deletion of your information.
9. Security
We use access controls, secure connections and safeguards around accounts, files and operations. Login and requests that change data have dedicated security checks. No online service can guarantee that every security incident will be prevented. Contact us promptly if you discover possible unauthorised access.
10. Your rights
Depending on the processing, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and a portable copy of your information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for optional purposes.
Send your request to post@metalldel.no. We may ask for necessary information to verify your identity and protect other people's data. We will explain if a legal obligation or another lawful exception limits what we can delete or disclose.
You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, at www.datatilsynet.no. You may also contact us first to clarify how your information is processed.
11. Versions and changes
The document version and effective date appear on this page. When the terms or privacy policy change, we ask signed-in customers to read and acknowledge the current versions. We record the document versions, time, language and whether the acknowledgement was made during registration or from the account. Earlier document versions are retained so that the acknowledgement can be linked to the text that was shown.
