Metalldel reviews the eligible steel part as a complete fabrication before galvanizing is accepted. Hollow sections, pockets, overlaps and handling orientation must let air escape and process liquids and zinc drain freely.

Threads, close fits and moving interfaces are identified in the same order so coating build is considered before delivery rather than corrected after assembly.

Never submit a sealed hollow fabrication for galvanizing. Vent and drain details must be reviewed before production.

Where are vent and drain holes required?

Every enclosed or overlapping volume needs safe flow for air, cleaning liquids and molten zinc. Submit the complete geometry for review.

How should threaded holes be handled?

Identify every functional thread and close fit so oversizing, masking or post-process treatment can be agreed before production.

Will the finish look perfectly uniform?

Not always. Steel chemistry, surface condition and geometry affect brightness and texture, so functional and cosmetic requirements should be stated separately.
